Italian course as Bildungsurlaub
Taking educational leave (Bildungsurlaub) means taking time off from work to continue one’s professional or political education. In Germany, employees have the right to attend a further training course without these days being counted against the normal vacation days.
The respective regulations on educational leave are designed by the individual federal states. Which educational leave law applies to you depends on where your employer is based.

Registration for your Italian course as educational leave
If you want to register for our Italian course as education leave you can do so online below or at our school’s office. Afterwards, you will receive a confirmation of enrollment for educational leave from our language school together with a regular enrollment confirmation. You will then need to forward this document to your employer, since you are applying for educational leave with it. According to the Bildungsurlaubsgesetz, you should apply for educational leave to your employer six weeks before the course starts. Up to two weeks before the start of the course, your employer must then decide whether to grant the educational leave. In the case of a refusal of your application, you have the possibility to fully cancel your course without any charges. At the end of your Italian course, you will receive a certificate confirming your participation in the educational leave to your employer.
